RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, A method to deliver the summery of newly available information to a vast number of users instantly. All most all sites use RSS now to provide their users with recent news. We the people running tenderdigest.com decided the same.

By RSS we generate a small file that contains all recent tender notices. Then you use a program that's known as RSS reader like Internet Explorer 7+, Firefox 2+, Opera 9+, feed reader, Google reader, etc. to read that file automatically, normally every hour, to get the updated tender information.

11 What are those keywords? What thet do?
Keywords are the name of a category which in short describes the type of work for which the tender was invited.

For example, Consider the keyword Supply (Vehicles, Microbus) - This keyword simply denotes that the tender was invited to "Purchase of Microbus". That means -

Supply (Vehicles, Microbus) -> Purchase of Microbus

Similarly, Auction/Sales (Land & Properties)-> A piece of land to be sold

Keywords are very convenient way to group or tag tenders with similer types of work.

We use keywords as our primary source to sort out which tenders our customers do need. Dor, example a subscriber may be interested in Supplying cars in Govt./Non Govt. Agencies, So assigning the single keyword Supply (Vehicles, Car) would satisfy his/her needs.
12 How to use the "view tenders by keywords" page to browse tenders?

View tenders by keywords" - this page allows you to browse tenders by "keywords". There are following options -

  1. "Parts of keyword" - This option allows you to specify a full keyword like Supply (Electrical Goods) or just part of it like electrical. Both will search the database for all keywords which contains the word you specified. So specifying just electrical will return you all keywords like Supply (Electrical Goods),Repair (Electrical), Maintenance (Electrical Distribution Line) etc.

By default the seacrch engine will search for all tenders that contains at least on of all the words you specify seperated by a space. That means if you try searching with car supply then all keyword will be searched that contains either of the word "car" or "supply", which may not be intended.

So instead you might type "car supply" with the qutation marks included, the search engine will search for only keywords that contain both the word car and supply.
  2. "Minimum Earnest Money" - If you don not participate in tenders that is below a certain security/pay order amount, then specify the amount in here. The search engine will now discard all the search results that has less security amount then that specified.
  3. "Tender Entry Date" - Selecting a date will allow you to see all tenders collected at that specified day
  4. "Working District" - Select the district which you prefer to view tenders from.
  5. "Doc. Collection Deadline" -specify the date here which will
  6. "International Only" -
